Stick n Stitch Design ("we", "us", "our") respects your privacy. This notice explains what personal information we collect when you use this website or get in touch, why we collect it, and what your rights are under UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

What we collect

The site itself is mostly static and does not set tracking cookies. We only collect personal information you give us voluntarily — for example, when you fill in the contact form, send us an email, or call us:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your phone number (if you give it)
  • The content of your enquiry

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics — a privacy-respecting, cookieless analytics tool that aggregates page-view data without setting cookies or collecting personal information. See our Cookie Policy for more.

Why we collect it

We use the information you give us only to:

  • Reply to your enquiry, prepare a quote, and process your order
  • Keep records of jobs we've done, for invoicing and follow-up
  • Comply with our legal obligations (tax, accounting)

We never sell your data, and we do not use it for marketing without your explicit consent.

Lawful basis

Under UK GDPR, our lawful basis for processing your information is:

  • Consent — when you submit the contact form or email us, you're consenting to us using your details to reply.
  • Contract — if we go on to take an order, we process your data to deliver the goods or service you've asked for.
  • Legal obligation — for invoicing and tax records, which we're required to keep.

Where we store it

Enquiry details are received via Cloudflare's edge network and forwarded to our business email accounts. Order and invoice records are kept on our office systems for the period required by HMRC (currently six years). We delete enquiry messages that don't lead to an order after twelve months.

Third parties

We use a small number of trusted third parties to run the business:

  • Cloudflare — hosts the website and processes contact-form submissions.
  • MailChannels — used by the contact form to forward your message to our inbox.
  • Our email provider — for receiving and replying to enquiries.
  • Our accountant — for tax and bookkeeping.

None of these third parties are authorised to use your information for any other purpose.

Your rights under UK GDPR

You have the right to:

  • Be told what data we hold about you (right of access)
  • Have inaccurate data corrected (rectification)
  • Have your data deleted (erasure, where applicable)
  • Restrict or object to how we process your data
  • Receive your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these, email us at kaymardon90@gmail.com or write to the postal address below. If you're unhappy with how we've handled your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Children

Our services are not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you're a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us information, please get in touch and we'll delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this notice from time to time. The "last updated" date at the top reflects the most recent change. Material changes will be highlighted on this page.
